The Raman, infrared and H1-NMR spectra of (CH3)3SiOSi(CH3)3 and (CH3)3SiN(H)Si(CH3)3 were measured, and the assignment of the spectra was carried out by comparison with those of the structurally related compounds, (CH3)3SiSi(CH3)3 and (CH3)3SiCl. The Raman and infrared spectra of (CH3)3SiOSi(CH3)3 and (CH3)3SiN(H)Si(CH3)3 are in excellent agreement with those of (CH3)3SiSi(CH3)3 which has a non-rigid D3d symmetry. The proton NMR spectra of CH3 groups of (CH3)3SiOSi(CH3)3, (CH3)3SiN(H)Si(CH3)3 and (CH3)3SiSi(CH3)3 show only one signal. So the spectra can be interpreted in terms of a D3d model which has C3 symmetry about the linear Si-(X)-Si(X=O, NH).
