Conceptual analysis reveals augmented reality as the natural interface for multimodal AI, suggesting real-world context can eliminate manual prompting.
Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly multimodal and context-aware, yet interactionstill commonly begins with explicit prompts inside separate applications, requiring users to translate real-world situations into information the system can understand. This article argues that augmented reality is anatural next step for AI interfaces because physical and digital context can become part of the interactionitself. It proposes a persistent, user-governed Reality Interface in which capabilities are added as modularskills, while a shared platform layer provides Universal Design, personalization, privacy, permissions, multimodal interaction, and human control.
