The process of two-electron transfer in slow ion-atom collisions is considered. The two-electron exchange interaction which determines the probability and the cross section of the process is calculated in closed analytical form by using the asymptotic Landau-Herring method. Cross sections for the reactions He 2+ +He to He+He 2+ and C 4+ +He to C 2+ +He 2+ are calculated and compared with the experimental data and the results of other theoretical calculations.
