Patients with glioblastoma (GB) experience seizures as a complex clinical problem caused by tumor-related changes in brain structure, neurochemical processes, and electrical activity. Managing seizures in these patients requires a comprehensive approach, including careful selection of antiepileptic drugs, surgical interventions when necessary, and consideration of additional therapies such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Despite progress in understanding the mechanisms underlying seizures in GB, much remains to be done in developing targeted and immunotherapy approaches that could provide more effective and personalized treatment options. The growing body of research into the molecular and cellular mechanisms of epileptogenesis in GB offers hope for the development of new therapeutic strategies that could improve both seizure control and overall treatment outcomes for patients.
