Analytical expressions for the interaction energy of straight screw and edge dislocations with point defects (impurities or radiation defects) are given, the latter being tetragonal 〈100〉 dipoles, trigonal 〈111〉 dipoles, or orthorhombic 〈110〉 dipoles. Calculations are made for the basic slip systems of cubic crystals: (1) {111} a/2 〈110〉, (2) {110} a/2 〈110〉, (3) {100} a/2 〈011〉, (4) {110} a〈001〉, (5) {110} a/2 〈111〉 or a〈111〉, and (6) {112} a/2 〈111〉 or a〈111〉, in the framework of the linear theory of elasticity taking into account the elastic anisotropy of the crystals, with the exception of the slip systems (1) and (5) for which the isotropic approximation is used.
