This paper will deal with the hyperplasia and neoformation of insular tissue occasionally associated with pathologic changes of the glandular portion of the pancreas. While involvement of the endocrine function in pancreatitis is commonly manifested by hyperglycemia, a number of cases have been reported in which hypoglycemia was the presenting symptom. The existence of such a syndrome has not been generally appreciated in this country. A number of reports from abroad and the sparsity of observations of this kind in...Bibliography1.
