The purpose of this investigation was to study the effect of selected music, pure tones, and varied music intensity on human performance as measured by an all-out 90-sec. ride on a bicycle ergometer. Three 4 × 4 Latin square designs were used to study the above mentioned conditions. A pooled analysis of the four 4 × 4 Latin squares in each of the three experiments failed to produce any significant differences (.05 level) among any of the experimental conditions.
