Campylobactw pylori is a spiral bacteriurm recently recognized as a highly prevalent organism in the upper gastrointestinal tract. Because of its suspected pathogenetic role in gastritis and related disorders, histologic identification of the organism is often desirable. We describe a simple, rapid method for demonsmting the organism in paraffin sections of gatrointestinal tissue utilizing a commercially available, premixed min (Diff-Quick®) that gives results similar to more cumbersome Giemsa-type tissue stains.
