Nanomaterials/nanocomposites on the basis of metal complexes are reviewed. Most attention is paid to N-, O-, S-, N, O- coordination compounds, σ- and π-organometallics and polymer-supported metal complexes. A brief description of metal complexes as precursors for inorganic nanomaterials is given.
