Many studies have demonstrated biotechnological applications of endophytic mi-crobes in combating future food scarcity and insecurity (Alkahtani et al. 2020). However, information on the novel agriculturally important endophytic bacterial strains associated with sunflower in Southern Africa is limited, thus necessitating this study.
