The temperature dependence of the magnetostriction constants λ100 and λ111 has been studied for FeII : Y3Fe5O12 single crystals by ferromagnetic resonance in the temperature range 4.2⩽T⩽500 K. The contributions Δλ100/z and Δλ111/z at T=4.2 K are found to be 2.7×104 and 2.9×104, respectively. The experimental data are compared with calculations based on the single-ion theory.
