The 70 eV mass spectra of dicyanoquinonediimine and several derivatives have been studied by accurate mass measurements and metastable‐ion analysis. Characteristic fragmentations of quinone structures and cleavages involving cyanide rearrangement are responsible for most of the total ion current.
