All you need is H8: Palladium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrosilylation of CC double bonds is carried out using monodentate H8-phosphoramidite ligands. High yields and enantioselectivities up to 90 % ee are achieved under mild conditions for a broad range of substituted styrenes. A correlation between the enantioselectivity and electronic properties of the ligand was demonstrated by NMR spectroscopy.
