Theoretical framework reveals the emergence of four-dimensional spacetime from pre-geometric topology in the early universe, suggesting unified origins for dark matter and dark energy.
Addressing the long-standing problems at the intersection of quantum gravity and cosmology—singularities, the nature of time, the origin of dark matter and dark energy—this paper establishes a dual-time cosmological framework based on the Geometric Dark Unified Mechanism (GDUM) pre-geometric topological program, distinguishing between pre-geometric ontological time t_pre and the emergent FLRW cosmic proper time t_cos. In GDUM, a ℤ₂-Deck covering topology governs pre-geometric evolution during the Planck era; when topological fluctuations are sufficiently suppressed, four-dimensional spacetime and standard cosmic time emerge, and the theory transitions to the ΛCDM standard cosmological model in the low-energy limit. This paper provides topological ontological interpretations of the vacuum, fields, photons, fermions, baryonic composite matter, black holes, dark matter, and dark energy; presents phenomenological integral forms for dark matter and quantitative results for dark energy via a joint correction of two-loop, topological entropy, and entanglement entropy; establishes a term-by-term comparison between GDUM and ΛCDM; and proposes a set of falsifiable observational predictions. All core mathematical open problems under this framework are honestly listed, together with their attack routes. This work does not replace mature quantum gravity theories; it aims to provide a self-consistent heuristic cosmological narrative that serves as a starting point for subsequent mathematical construction and observational testing.
