An empirical equation for the enthalpy of seawater was determined as a function of temperature (0 to 30C) and concentration (0.01 to 0.04 g of sea salt/g seawater): urn:x-wiley:00243590:media:lno19701540587:lno19701540587_math-0001 The equation was derived from available heat capacity data and the second order concentration terms were determined from heat‐of‐mixing experiments.
