The structure of Co3O4 nanoparticles patterned in SBA-15 silicas is studied. With a pore size of 7.3 nm, bundles of oriented particles, with the (400) plane parallel to the hexagonal axis, are revealed by HR-TEM. With decreasng pore sizes, structural modifications, suggested by HR-TEM, are confirmed by XRD and Raman measurements.
