Light scattering measurements near the critical point of polystyrene in cyclohexane do not show a typical critical opalescence. The intensities of the scattered light extrapolated to zero scattering angle are studied and the thermodynamic functions are determined. From the differential equation of the interaction parameter the latter can easily be obtained from measured quantities. Several spinodals have been calculated.
