The response of transient and established incontinence in elderly females to treatment with emepronium bromide in a dose of 150 mg every six hours has been studied in a controlled trial. The drug was shown to exert a significant effect. The magnitude of the reduction in incontinence was small and it is suggested that treatment for a longer time may increase this response. No untoward effects of treatment were observed.
