A simple route to large FeTe clusters seems to have been found by the authors in the redox reaction between [Fe(CO)5] and (Ph4P)2Te4. Depending on the molar ratio of the reactants either (Ph4P)2‐1 or (Ph4P)2‐2 is isolated. In addition, 1 can be converted into 2 by elemental Te. Especially noteworthy in 2 is the Te2 ligand which links two hardly distorted Fe4Te4 cubanes. equation image
