A one-step benzene–water azeotrope method has been carried out for the first time for the selective preparation of NaFeSO4F and NaFeSO4F·2H2O starting from FeSO4·7H2O and NaF in a short time (1 min) at a low temperature (200 °C) in an autoclave with different sealed caps using benzene as a reaction medium and dehydrant.
