A theory of some general features on the shape effects in ferromagnetic resonance is presented. Calculations and measurements have been made of the shift of the ferromagnetic resonance frequency in the presence of the excited spin waves with long-wavelength limit. It is found that the consideration on the contribution from the local demagnetization fields may be of decisive importance in analyzing the shape effect in the ferromagnetic resonance phenomena.
