Deep-red iridium( iii ) complexes cyclometalated by phenanthridine derivatives for highly efficient solution-processed organic light-emitting diodes

The introduction of 4- tert -butyl- N -phenylaniline groups into phenanthridine derivatives is demonstrated as a simple approach to develop solution-processed deep-red iridium complexes. The resulting PhOLEDs achieve a maximum EQE of 5.2% with the emission peak at 682 nm.
