Advancements in the science of concrete have led to the development of a class of cementitious composites called -high performance concrete (UHPC). UHPC mechanical and durability properties make it an ideal candidate for use in deveoping new solutions to pressing concerns about infrastructure deterioration, repair, replacement.(1,2) Field-cast UHPC details prefabricated structural elements for bridge construction have proven to be application that has captured the attention owners, specifiers, and contractors across country. These connections can be simpler to construct and can provide more robust -term performance than connections constructed through conventional methods.(3) This provides guidance on the design and of field-cast UHPC connections.
