Howlider, M.A.R., Begum, F., Islam, M.S. and Wahid, M.A. 1995. Feathering and meat yield of full feathered and naked neck indigenous chickens of Bangladesh. J. Appl. Anim. Res., 8:191–195. Twenty eight full feathered (nana) and 28 naked neck (Nana) free range reared indigenous Bangladeshi chickens were slaughtered at 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105 and 120 days of age. The featherless body area and various meat yield characteristics were recorded. The Nana had 2.4, 2.6, and 5% unit higher breast meat, dark meat and total meat than that of nana birds. The Nana had 20% unit more featherless area than in nana. The males were superior to females in all meat yield parameters.
