Dental decisions made during childhood and adolescence can have long-term implications. The orthodontic–paediatric interface ensures that children are assessed and managed by the right people, in the right place, at the right time. This two-part series offers general dental practitioners (GDPs) and specialists an update on common joint orthodontic–paediatric problems in the mixed dentition alongside practical considerations to resolve them. The second article focuses on: interceptive orthodontics, crossbites, unerupted central incisors, ectopic and impacted canines, and enamel and dentine disorders. CPD/Clinical Relevance: This series will enable GDPs to recognize and manage common problems in primary care.
