In connection with studies of the aerial distribution of the root-rot fungus in 1967-68 attempts were made to identify the other fungi which had also spread aerially to spruce discs and caused discoloration of the wood. The identification grew into a rather considerable study which, since it could not suitably be integrated with the report on the studies of the root-rot fungus, is now published separately.
