Forty-one selected cases of spinal arachnoiditis are presented, 31 of which were operated on. All the patients were studied by means of myelography with iodised oil which permitted the correct diagnosis in 58 per cent of the cases. The clinical findings and the results of the surgical treatment are also taken into consideration.
