The effects on luminous bacteria of dilution of sea water with water and m sugar solution; of HCl and valerianic acid; of NaOH and methyl amine; of the salts of sea water in different combinations; and of methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, amyl and capryl alcohol were studied.
