Five 1-year-old male pink salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) were found in the Michipicoten River in 1981. They were smaller than the 2-year-old pink salmon, averaging 328 mm in fork length and 352 g in round weight. This is the first record of precocious male pink salmon found in a freshwater environment.
