The two‐LO‐phonon and one‐LO plus one‐TO‐phonon Raman scattering cross‐sections are calculated in a two‐band model. Double resonance is taken into account. It is shown that the cross‐section maxima are disposed at incident light frequencies of ω = ϵg + 2ΩLO and at ω = ϵg + ΩLO ΩTOfor the 2LO and LO + TO cross‐sections. The cross‐sections decrease with increasing |ϵg – ω| with different laws below and above the band gap ϵg. The cross‐sections above the band gap are strongly dependent functions of the damping constant of the electron system. The results of the numerical calculation are compared with experimental data.
