AbstractThree clinical cases of very ill neonates exemplifying extreme ethical situations for nurses are interpreted through Arendt's concepts of life and natality, and Agamben's critique of bare life. Agamben's notions of form‐of‐life, as the inseparability ofzoe/bios, and testimony are offered as the potential foundation of nursing ethics.
