Observations on the occurrence of Armillaria obscura and Armillaria cepistipes on Silver fir in Southern Bavaria. Armillaria‐fruitbodies on Silver fir (Abies alba) from different localities in Southern Bavaria were identified by mating tests as A. obscura and A. cepistipes. Diploid mycelia could not be determined by the Buller‐phenomenon or fructification in vitro, somatic segregation of haploids by Benomyl also was not successful.
