Polymer complexes. I. Stability and degradation of methyl methacrylate ‐ transition metal bromide polymer complexes

The degradation behaviour of methyl methacrylate ‐ transition metal bromide polymer complexes was studied. The major volatile products of the degradation were methyl bromide, CO2 and methanol. The polymer complexes are considerably less stable than PMMA. The activation energies of the degradation of the polymer complexes were determined.
