Reported are two cases of cervical myelopathy caused primarily by ossification of the ligamentum flavum of the cervical spine. In both cases the site of ossification was the ligamentum flavum located on the right side of C2–3, and the condition improved by laminectomy and resection of the ossification. Also the surgical techniques used for resection of the ossification are described, and points requiring attention are indicated.
