Abstract

The microcrystalline ferromagnetic compound Ni 2 MnGa was prepared by the melt-spinning method in the form of a ribbon. Characterization of the structural state and the martensitic transformation was carried out by various physical methods. The ribbon demonstrated a perfect shape memory effect and a two-way shape memory effect.
