A case of surgical hypoparathyroidism with unusual resistance to ordinary methods of treatment is reported. The successful use of a new intravenous preparation of vitamin D2 is described. A brief discussion is included concerning the current aspects of the use of vitamin D preparations in hypoparathyroidism and the possible cause of resistance in this patient.
