Magnetic properties and noise suppression effect of Co85B15-Pd-O soft magnetic nano-granular thin films were investigated. Films with a wide compositional range were prepared by the reactive sputtering method. Soft magnetic films were obtained in the compositional range with the O content more than the Co-Pd-B2O3, where there can be simultaneously obtained rho with a range from 103to 105muOmegamiddotcm, Bs of 8-9 kG, and Hk around 100-150 Oe. A microstrip line with nano-granular film placed on its top was used to evaluate the conduction noise suppression by measuring the transmission and reflection of electromagnetic wave. The result reveals that soft magnetic Co85B15-Pd-O films have a high potential for noise suppressors, which is six times larger than that of the Film Impedor commonly used as a noise suppressor at high frequency, in all measured frequency range
