Nitrotriazolone has been svnthesised and fullv characterised. This exolosive was found to exhibit self-binding properties forming pellets at different loads. The compression strength of these pellets were in the ranee 80-128 kef/cm2 under one to three tonne/cm2 load. Other oressable formulations containinz n~trotr~azolone have also been successfully prepared A composltlon comparable to composltlon B was also oreoared uslne n~trotr~a?olone and tr~n~trotolucne (60 40) h4echanlcal oropertlc? and insenslllvltb of this new composition were found to be superior.
