Such a presentation of hypernephroma is rare, with only 3 such cases having been found in the literature, none of which was diagnosed correctly preoperatively. Our 2 patients are alive with no evidence of disease 20 and 24 months, respectively, after radical nephrectomy and contralateral adrenalectomy. © 1982 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited byElashry O, Clayman R, Soble J and McDougall E (2018) Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy for Solitary Metachronous Contralateral Adrenal Metastasis from Renal Cell CarcinomaJournal of Urology, VOL. 157, NO. 4, (1217-1222), Online publication date: 1-Apr-1997.Schomer N and Mohler J (2018) Partial Adrenalectomy for Renal Cell Carcinoma With Bilateral Adrenal MetastasesJournal of Urology, VOL. 153, NO. 4, (1196-1198), Online publication date: 1-Apr-1995.Lemmers M, Ward K, Hatch T and Stenzel P (2018) Renal Adenocarcinoma with Solitary Metastasis to the Contralateral Adrenal Gland: Report of 2 Cases and Review of the LiteratureJournal of Urology, VOL. 141, NO. 5, (1177-1180), Online publication date: 1-May-1989.Selli C, Carini M, Barbanti G, Barbagli G and Turini D (2018) Simultaneous Bilateral Adrenal Involvement by Renal Cell Carcinoma: Experience with 3 CasesJournal of Urology, VOL. 137, NO. 3, (480-482), Online publication date: 1-Mar-1987.Marshall F (2018) Editorial CommentJournal of Urology, VOL. 134, NO. 2, (318-318), Online publication date: 1-Aug-1985.Luciani L, Scappini P, Pusiol T and Piscioli F (2018) Aspiration Cytology of Simultaneous Bilateral Adrenal Metastases From Renal Cell Carcinoma.
