The three-dimensional network complex was prepared by engaging the multibinding terephthalate dianion and nonchelating 3(5)-methylpyrazole as bridge and end-capping ligand, respectively. The overall antiferromagnetism of the complex was explained in terms of blended magnetism of weak antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic coupling mediated by the terephthalate ligands.
