A variation of the Lurie-Slichter method of pulsed nuclear double resonance in solids is described which has enabled accurate measurements of the 1.108% abundant 13 C effective magnetogyric ratio in the solid organic polymer polytetrafluoroethylene. Ways are discussed for increasing the resolution of the technique.
