Extending to easy-plane ferromagnets the approach developed in a previous paper (Balucani et al., 1979), the kinematic inconsistencies of the Hartree-Fock temperature-dependent magnon energies are removed. To restore this consistency at the lowest order in the anisotropy a second-order theory is worked out and the leading terms in the self-energy are taken into account.
