SUMMARY Serum concentrations of Oxytetracycline were compared in 6 horses from ½ to 48 hours after intravenous and intramuscular administration of the antibiotic. Intravenous administration was superior to intramuscular administration in both the magnitude and the duration of drug concentrations in serum. The biological half-life of Oxytetracycline after intravenous administration was calculated to be 15.7 hours and the half-life after intramuscular administration was 10.5 hours.
