The dogmas that through the centuries have evolved around the personality of Jesus of Nazareth, have overshadowed and still overshadows his own message which was primarily an ethical one. Jesus addressed individual as well as societal mundane human needs that existed in the Jewish context of his day. The relevance of his message for the (post) modern world continues since similar as well as different needs exist. Attention is (amongst others) paid to the issues of critical thinking, sickness, poverty, politics, violence, sexuality and the celebration of life.
