Descriptions are given of six hypogeic mealybugs forming the genusGeococcus. A key to species and illustrations of five species are included.G. johorensisis described as new from Malaya where it is reported as damaging oil palms. Another new species,G. lawrencei, is described from the Solomon Islands. The history ofG. coffeaeGreen is discussed together with its present distribution.
