A bstract This case report concerns the fourth recorded instance of renal‐cell carcinoma occurring in two members of the same immediate family—a sister and brother in the geriatric age group. In the sister's case, nephrectomy was performed and the patient is alive and clinically well three years later even though operation revealed extensive involvement of the hilar structures of the kidney. The brother is being managed with chemotherapy and radiation because of widespread carcinoma.
