The reaction. C + HO2 → HO + O2 (1). Was studied in an isothermal discharge flow system. The main carrier gas was Helium in the pressure range between 1 and 10 mbar. The atoms H, O, F and the radicals OH and HO2 were monitored with a combined ESR‐LMR‐spectrometer. The rate constant K1 was determined in three different reaction systems. — The experiments yielded the result. K1 (298 K) = (2.0 ± 0.6) 1013 [cm3/mol s].
