A method is described for calculating correlation factors for diffusion of vacancy-impurity pairs. The calculation is shown for the case in which the correlation is neglected unless the vacancy and impurity are nearest neighbors, but the correlations may have much longer ranges. The case of graphite-type structure is considered as an example. The method is applicable to both isotropic and anisotropic diffusion. (T.F.H.)
