The chemical composition of the leaf oil of camu-camu (Myrciaria dubia (HBK) McVaugh) was studied by GC and GC/MS. One hundred and fifteen components of the oil were identified, of which α-pinene (74.3%) and limonene (10.8%) were the major constituents. The composition of the leaf oil was characterized by its richness in monoterpene and sesquiterpene hydrocarbons and the presence of many esters and unsaturated aldehydes
