By controlling the incident angle of electromagnetic (EM) wave, we investigated the establishment of dual-band and high-order behavior in an ultrathin metamaterial perfect absorber. When the incident angle of EM wave is θ =30°, the fundamental perfect absorption peak is preserved (at 102 MHz), and the high-order absorption peaks reach 99.9% (at 6.26 GHz) and 97.4% (at 6.55 GHz). These results are confirmed by both simulation and experiment. We believe that our results can be widely utilized in order to realize meta-devices (such as sensors, filters and detectors, radio-frequency energy harvesters) for future applications in the WiMAX band.
